Hang Glider Ready to Fly Fleet 10 Gliders

Note: delivery delay for large orders. We are usually able to send out orders of up to 50 hang gliders within 24 hours. However large orders need lots of time. If you are thinking of a thousand or more, then you probably need to order months ahead. I can explain the details of why (labor intensive design, can't be mechanized, we're a small part-time operation, etc.) but that's the gist of it.

Like big hang gliders that carry people, these Hang Gliders are designed for efficiency. More efficient than simple Jagwings, these are the best for when hands only are diverting the air wave instead of a big board. I can easily fly Hang Gliders with just one hand. The Hang Glider design is descended from the Baby Bug design. I found that truncating (cutting) the wing tips increased stability. Otherwise the two designs are very similar.

FULL DISCLOSURE: NOT FOR BEGINNERS Though a marvel of efficiency, Hang Gliders are also more complex than Jagwings, with dihedral, 4 segments of front camber and a built-in back stabilizer. Although I test and adjust each one, and pack them carefully, what’s a beginner to do when a Hang Glider gets handled a bit too hard so that it’s out of adjustment? With a Jagwing you might be able to just flatten it out in a book overnight and re-bend the back. But Hang Gliders are more complicated, less forgiving. For example, there are several interrelated ways to adjust something as simple as stalling/diving. I might modify the stabilizer, or the elevons, or add/cut off front weight, or bend the weight more forward or backward, or bend the front camber more or less. And modifying the camber closer to the middle has a much greater effect than the same at the wingtips.

Flying gliders is easier and goes faster than making gliders. For some situations, just flying gliders makes more sense. Even if you do plan to make your own gliders eventually, flying and understanding gliders first makes it easier to build them. See how to fly here.
Ready to fly Baby Bug gliders are made from Time Warp foam, which is denser and slightly thicker than Ultra Light foam.
